About the founder, Laura
Laura Malarkey has been captivated by nail artistry since childhood, a passion that has carried her from Florida to the sets of New York and Los Angeles, where she spent years honing her craft behind the scenes of high-fashion productions for houses like Versace and Louis Vuitton, campaigns for Sephora, Zara, Apple, and Google, and alongside celebrated photographers and celebrity clientele.
Licensed since 2020, Laura built her expertise on precision and artistry, but it was a gap she saw back home that shaped her next chapter: Cincinnati lacked a nail salon that treated nail health and product longevity with the same reverence as the artistry itself, and too few technicians had the education to deliver both safely and with consistency. She founded The Cure Nail Lounge to change that, bringing an elevated, apothecary-inspired approach to beauty where every service is rooted in craft, ritual, and genuine care for the health of your nails. Her mission is simple: to make The Cure the standard for quality, health, and hospitality in Cincinnati's nail industry.
